Paliekara Exhibits at FDL Public Library

Local artist Marcella Paliekara will exhibit her artwork in the library's Langdon Divers Community Gallery from December 2, 2008 through January 28, 2009. The show, titled My Visions and Voices, features mixed media, oil pastel paintings, papier-mache bowls and vases, and handmade books. All work will be for sale. A portion of the sales will benefit the library.

“The title of my exhibit expresses my wish to include images and objects that I have felt inspired to create. My work comes from my connection to my Creator, and it is my way of responding to the Spirit in me. When I create it heals and nourishes me. I hope it will do the same for those who view my art,” commented Marcella.

Marcella holds a B.A. in Fine Art and a M.A. in English. She is currently the Vice President of the Fond du Lac Artists’ Association. Marcella is the author of two online blogs: Marcieart and The Apostles Wives' Club.
