Woman with Big Eyes by Angeles Mastretta

Woman with Big Eyes consists of a series of vignettes, each featuring a woman protagonist. Identified as tias (aunts). Mastretta's women are vibrant, sly, wise, earthy, and full of life, with stories that mesmerize.

Set mostly in post-revolutionary Puebla Mexico, they do create a sense of the values and mores of a midsized Mexican town, and, taken as a whole, the tias form a collective protagonist that embodies the author's feminist ideals.

Mujeres de ojos grandes consiste en una serie de viñetas, cada una de las cuales tiene una diferente protagonista llamada tía. Las mujeres que Ángeles Mastretta nos presenta son vibrantes, astutas, sabias, sensuales y llenas de vida, con historias fascinantes.

Situada principalmente en Puebla después de la Revolución, sus historias presentan los valores y moral de una típica ciudad mexicana de mediano tamaño, y tomando la novela en su totalidad nos presenta una colección de protagonistas que representa los ideales feministas de la autora.
